Find Events in Your Community

NARIC collects online and in-person events relevant to the disability and rehabilitation communities, including conferences, webcasts, national observances, and workshops sponsored by National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) and others. These events are displayed on four Google Calendars.

Want to add an event? NIDILRR grantees may submit events to this calendar by emailing naricinfo@heitechservices.com with the subject line “NIDILRR Calendar of Events”, the NIDILRR project number, and details about the event, including dates, times, links for registration, and any related fees. Other organizers may use the online information request form, and select "Recommend a Resource to NARIC" to submit their events for consideration.

NARIC Events and Announcements

This calendar highlights NARIC activities including conferences we are attending or presenting at, editorial schedules, and other announcements.

NIDILRR-Sponsored Events and Announcements

This calendar (available at Google) features events and announcements from NIDILRR and its grantees and contractors across the country. These may include online and/or in-person conferences, meetings, and webcasts/webinars. Webcasts/webinars are often free and require registration.

Disability and Rehabilitation Conferences and Meetings (non-NIDILRR)

This calendar (available at Google) features events sponsored by non-NIDILRR agencies, organizations, or institutions. These may include online and/or in-person conferences, conventions, trainings, workshops, webinars, and webcasts. We focus on events that are free and open to the public but may consider events with a low fee on a case-by-case basis. 

National Observances Calendar

This calendar (available at Google) features daily, weekly, and monthly observances (i.e. Burn Injury Awareness Week) sponsored by federal agencies, state and local governments, and private organizations. We gather information from reliable sources like Healthfinder.gov and various disability-related awareness calendars from websites such as Disabled World and Special Needs Resource and Training Blog. 

Being included in the NARIC Google Calendars does not constitute an endorsement of the goods or services provided by the Federal, State, or local government; and/or organizations, nor does not being included imply non-endorsement. Community Resource Specialists are not responsible for technical issues related to webinars/webcasts. Please contact the event organizer for additional information on accommodations, and/or continuing education credits. Additionally, we do not review or evaluate the quality of services or goods provided for any online and/or in-person event. Complaints regarding an event will be referred to event organizers.
