Importance of a support system.

Abstract: Presenter talks about traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the importance of having a good support system involved in the treatment plan, and if not, how counselors should work with patients to try and find people to help support them. A support system can help people with TBI in a number of ways, like making sure they get out of the house, engage in activities, focus on other things instead of just their problems, encourage and motivate them to participate in positive activities, and provide positive reinforcements to avoid bad habits. Run time: 2 minutes 5 seconds.
