The NARIC Knowledgebase is developed from several sources: The Directory of National Information Sources on Disability (NIS) chief among them. The NIS was recognized as a standard reference of providers of information, referral, and direct services to people with disabilities. This database includes an extensive array of over 1,300 nationwide resources for disability-related information and services including journals, newsletters, and magazines; professional organizations; national associations; federal projects; and more. This directory is no longer available in print.
