Abstract: This is part 8 of 18 in a series of videos from the National Goals in Research, Policy, and Practice meeting. The meeting aimed to advance a research agenda that influence policy and practice for and with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). A person with a disability talks about aging with a disability and challenges he faces in getting the services and health care he needs. Receiving services allows individuals to live the way they want and helps them to stay as independent as possible. Run time: 1 minute 50 seconds.
