Abstract: Pilot program to increase, intensify and improve rehabilitation services for severely disabled people, particularly those receiving Old Age Survivors Insurance (OASI) disability benefits and not eligible for the state federal program. Project objectives were to determine the feasibility of vocational rehabilitation to the most severely disabled population using intensive services and speical provisions for financing, coordinate services, determine the significance of psychosocial, cultural and economic factors on the rehabilitation outlook of these people, to obtain medical, psychological and vocational data, and to determine the appropriatness of lowering the threshold of eligibility for vocational rehabilitation services. Includes tables and data sheets.
